Justin B. Friedrichs is a third generation investment advisor who bought his first shares of stock when he was 14 years old. He earned a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from the University of Richmond in 1993. In 1995 he started serving families and businesses as a Financial Advisor with a major Wall Street firm. He was promoted to Associate Vice President in 1998. In January 2003, he founded Friedrichs Asset Management LLC, a Registered Investment Adviser serving successful individuals and small businesses.

Since graduation from the University of Richmond Justin has been actively involved in furthering his education as well as serving the Richmond community. He is a CFP® Practitioner which entails completing coursework and passing the CFP® Certification Examination covering the following areas: the financial planning process, risk management, investments, tax planning and management, retirement and employee benefits, and estate planning. CFP® certificants must also agree to meet ongoing continuing education requirements and to uphold CFP Board’s Code of Ethics and Professional Responsibility and Financial Planning Practice Standards.

In the community, Justin has served on the board of the Richmond College Alumni Association and the board of the Henrico Business Council. He has also served as a Diplomat for the Greater Richmond Chamber of Commerce. He currently serves on the board of The Venture Forum, an organization devoted to promoting the success of entrepreneurial ventures in Central Virginia.  Justin also volunteers as an Instructor of the "Company" program with Junior Achievement at James River High School in Midlothian, Virginia.

Personal interests include spending time with his wife, Erica and children, Ruby and Oscar, enjoying the company of friends, automobiles (any make or model!), running, playing tennis and learning piano.
